Home Remedies for Other Conditions

Aside from acne home remedies, here are some other home remedy treatments that you should know.

Swimmers’ ear home remedy

It is also called as otitis externa. It is an inflammation of the outer portion of the ear and ear canal. It is caused by fungi and bacteria and usually occurs to people who spend a lot of time in the water. The best home remedy is to get a cotton ball, put a little olive oil on one side, and make sure the other side is dry. Place it in your ear and leave for 5 minutes. To ease the pain, clean the ear canal using cotton buds with alcohol as it evaporates the water in your ear.

Vaginal Yeast Infection

Vaginal yeast infections are caused by fungus called “candida albicans”. This occurs due to pregnancy, diabetes, and the use of oral contraceptives. One of the popular home remedies for yeast infection is yogurt as it contains probiotics. These are “friendly” bacteria that restrain the growth of harmful organisms. Just apply it on the affected area or simply eat it.

Toenail fungus home remedies

This type of fungus can destroy your toenail. So while it’s early, prevent it by drying your feet before wearing socks and keeping your toenails properly trimmed. If you already have an infection, soak your feet in water with vinegar for 30 minutes every day. It’ll help your toenails fall off and eventually, a new nail will grow.
